It works in conjunction with a pilot valve and an unloader valve. When the compressor reaches the unload (cut-out) pressure, the pilot valve sends a pneumatic signal to the throttle control, which actuates and extends to reduce engine speed. As compressed air is used and the compressor reaches the load (cut-in) pressure, the signal is released, and the throttle control retracts to restore normal engine operation. Constructed with a brass body, Viton seals, stainless steel springs, and stainless steel cable, the cable is permanently lubricated and self-cleaning. Routing clamps are included for secure installation and protection. Using a throttle control helps save fuel and extend the life of both the engine and the compressor.
